Throwing it back to last week’s shindig!

Design Week Portland’s (DWPDX) week-long festival was filled with incredible opportunities to celebrate Portland’s design community, to support each other’s craft, and to learn and grow in the knowledge of design and its significance as the city’s most promising cultural economic resource. We couldn’t have been more proud to be involved with DWPDX for the second year in a row, which this year involved opening our doors to the public and sharing our craft.

Our vision was for participants to experience ACME, our team, our culture, and our craft. From the moment they stepped into the shop, senses came alive with the smell and sounds of our CNC Machine hard at work. As participants moved throughout the shop they were able to speak with our team, as well as touch and interact with project elements, including faux finishes and innovative lighting displays. Another stop along the way included a projection mapping on a giant 3D ‘25’ representing our 25th year in business. As they neared the end of the tour, House Spirits Distillery was waiting for them with a spirit sampling they could enjoy while hitting up our custom graffiti photobooth and the opportunity to view one of ACME’s own crafting a graffiti masterpiece. As a parting gift, each participant received a custom bamboo desk valet, designed and built by ACME.
