Art-Deco Inspired Speakeasy

AUGUST 30, 2018 | PORTLAND, OR

We’re throwing it back to a unique project filled with custom elements that we rocked earlier this year. This project was a first for ACME, fabricating elements for an art-deco inspired speakeasy known as No Vacancy Lounge, Portland, Oregon’s newest nightclub. Here at ACME, we believe custom is best, and this project highlighted our craftsmanship with a variety of custom elements including liquor lockers, guardrails and handrails throughout the entire space, a mezzanine bar and mezzanine cabinet, an express bar, bar shelves lining the main bar, and custom mirror pieces.

Willamette Weekly went on to award No Vacancy Lounge the 2018 Bar of the Year, and they had this to say about their ambience,

“Replete with rich, lacquered surfaces, intricate iron work, glistening wood columns and a custom lighting array that can change the room’s mood from an amber-hued rave to a neon-soaked discotheque with the flip of a switch, No Vacancy strikes a careful balance between timeless glamor and a futuristic Technicolor utopia.”

ACME had a blast partnering with the No Vacancy Team, and crafting custom elements for this space that helped bring this winning ambience to life! For the full article click here, and when in PDX be sure to check out No Vacancy Lounge.
